Saturday, Sept. 29th, 2012 – For the second consecutive year, Team Sheakley participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, with a total of 28 Team members!
Lead by our very own Richard Sirk, and Sheri J., this 5k walk event started at the home of the division winning Red Legs’ stadium, Great American Ballpark, continued through Newport, KY and back up to Cincinnati for the finish. It was estimated that over 9,000 runners, walkers, and volunteers attended this year’s race. The event has raised over $424,250, with contributions still coming in until the end of October.
Taking part in such an event that is all to close to home for many Sheakley employees, allows for us to help “get it done” in finding a cure for breast cancer.
