If you have an employee that has been returned to light/modified duty by the physician of record and you have no job available under these restrictions. You may want to consider loaning your employee to a non-profit organization.
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation allows employers to send/loan injured workers who are unable to perform their full duty jobs to non-profit organizations that are able to accommodate the injured employee’s restrictions. As the employer of record you would be responsible to pay the injured employee’s regular salary while he/she reports to work for you. Employers, use the Volunteermatch widget here to help you find an organization in your area that could work with you in returning your employee(s) back to work.
